The texture of ivory is relatively hard, yellow in color, and some even have pink, which has high economic value. Eating leaves, fruits, and bark, occasionally licking mineral salts or mineral containing pond mud. Capable of long-distance communication through infrasound waves and ground vibrations. Due to poaching and habitat destruction, it is currently classified as critically endangered species.
